Daily Make-Up Routine

Good morning lovelies! After many positive votes I received yesterday to do a make-up routine blog, I decided to write it this morning! All pictures in this post are my actual products, and I’ll not only be explaining my routine, but reviewing my products as well. However, I will leave my lipsticks out of the review in this blog because I’ve been getting requests to make a separate ‘review of all my lipsticks’ blog with swatches. Stay tuned for that! Now, without further a due…

FOUNDATION

The first thing I put on my face, after cleansing my face with the Vichy products I listed in my previous My University Morning Routine blog, is apply my foundation. Right now I’m using L’Oreal True Match LUMI pump foundation in N-1. I normally buy the Classic Ivory shade since apparently I’m really pale haha. But, I bought the wrong shade this time around. Luckily, summer is a couple months away so I can pass it off as a slight tan. Maybe? Hopefully… This foundation has been working for me for a long time and it feels fresh when you apply it to your face. It doesn’t clump or feel heavy at all. After applying that foundation all over my face using my fingers (personal preference, though it works really well for me), I apply my setting powder. For this, I always use L’Oreal True Match Mineral Powder in Classic Ivory. I love this powder because it looks smooth on the face and feels very light.

BLUSH AND EYEBROWS

After the longest part of my make-up routine, comes the fun part when I get to add all the finishing touches. For my blush, I use Maybelline New York in the shade Light Rose. I love this blush so much guys, seriously. It comes with a small brush (I still need to buy a fluffy brush), and the color is gorgeous! This brand has so many different shades of pink to choose from it’s unbelievable. There’s a shade for everyone! I like to use Light Rose because it matches my skin tone really well. After applying that smooth and beautiful blush, I finally have color in my face again, yay! So then it’s time to fill in my eyebrows. My eyebrows are relatively full beforehand, but I do have some small spaces to fill. And after applying foundation and powder, my brows appear lighter and dusty. For my eyebrows, I first use the Lancome Sensation Effects Eye Shadow palate; it’s very old and I’m not sure if they carry it anymore. I use the darkest shade in the palate since my eyebrows are very dark brown.

EYES

Hmm…the quality of that picture wasn’t the greatest…sorry guys. So after all that jazz, I move on to my eyes in general. I sometimes finish off my brows first with Annabelle Stay Sharp Self Sharpening Water Proof Brow Liner ( that was a mouth full) in Auburn, because my hair is reddish-brown since I dyed it many months ago. I love, love, love this brow liner, but I don’t use it too often because the color of my hair has faded since I’ve had it dyed, so I don’t want to go overboard with my brow color. Next, I apply Revlon Bonne Belle  eyeliner in Basic Black. I’ve been using this waterline eyeliner for years and never changed it. That can give you a clue of how awesome it is! Plus it twists, no sharpening whatsoever. After that I usually apply Revlon Color Stay liquid eyeliner in Blackest Black to my lid line, not on the underside of my eyelashes. Some people can do that, but I can’t stomach it haha. The last thing I typically apply to my eyes is L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly mascara in Blackest Black. This is another product I’ve been using for a long time, it really gives me full, FULL eyelashes. It’s wonderful guys.

LIPS

As for my final step, my lipstick or lip gloss, I like to change it up depending on the color scheme of my outfit or what mood I’m in. For example, if I’m wearing a lot of pinkish tones I’ll go for my super bright pink lipstick. If my nails are painted red or I have something red that stands out in my outfit, I’ll wear a light or dark red lipstick. That’s sort of how I decide. I usually go for pink shades when I’m in a girly/happy mood, red shades when I’m my outfit is classy or chic, and lip gloss when I really don’t feel like wearing a strong color. I’ll cover my complete lipstick collection with brand names and lip swatches in a separate blog post, as promised!

And that’s it guys, that’s my entire everyday make-up routine! Sometimes I’ll wear eye shadow too, I have a special palate that is specifically for my eye color. If you guys would like me to do a review for that palate and how I do my smokey eye (with pictures), comment and let me know! And as always, please let me know if there is anything specific you would really like me to blog. By the way, check out my Instagram (amanda.iliadis) if you’re interested in my daily ootds and make-up looks!

Also, I wanted to thank you all for your support with likes, follows, and comments on my blog. I didn’t expect my blog to take off as swiftly as it did, and it’s all thanks to your constant support and encouragement. You guys are the best!
